INEXCUSABLE JUDGEMENT l

Anyone who condemns another person while practicing the same things, brings judgement on themselves; for, by judging others for actions they themselves commit, they show that they know the moral standard, yet fail to live by it, making themselves inexcusable before God, the just and perfect Judge who freely empowers right behavior, by His Spirit (Rom. 2:3). When you unlovingly point out the faults of others, you claim that you know right and wrong but when you knowingly break the same standard, you reject Jesus' forgiveness, placing yourself with the Accuser, under the Creator's righteous judgment, instead of in abundant mercy (Matt. 7:1–3, Luke 6:37-38 & 23:34, Rom. 1:32, Jas. 4:12).
Therefore, those who consider themselves righteous as they judge others, should remember that they, too, will stand before the true Judge – the LORD, God who is truly understanding, patient, and willing to give people plenty of time to change their minds and cleanse their hearts, rather than judging them immediately; for He will ultimately bring every matter into His righteous judgment at the proper time (Eccl. 3:17, Ps. 24:3-5, 1 Cor. 4:5).

PRAYER: Heavenly Father and Righteous Judge, thank You for the Spirit of discernment, which helps me recognize what is right and wrong. Please keep me faithful and worthy before You, especially when I am placed in a position of authority. Help me to exercise discernment and judgment in Your Church, according to Your Holy Spirit, with humility and righteousness, so that everything I do may bring glory to You, in Jesus' Name (Ps. 51:10, 1 Cor. 6:2). Amen.
