HEART DRAWN TO DEFEND HIS OWN

A man's heart draws him closer to His loved ones and makes him willing to sacrifice all for the one He loves; yet only those who truly understand and accept him for who he is, will appreciate his love (Gen. 34:3). As vessels of God - called, anointed, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News of Salvation - we are naturally drawn by our hearts to loved ones first, expecting them to understand us for who we are in Christ; still, we need to realize that those closest to a prophet do not usually appreciate the messenger (Mark 6:4).
So, we should not be discouraged by the denial of anyone, but move ahead with the zeal to live in the fulfillment of the Great Commission, knowing there are others ignorant of the Good News, and God will surely receive and redeem His own (Ps. 49:15).

PRAYER: Thank You, Heavenly Father and Redeemer of the Righteous, for choosing, anointing, and using me to preach the Gospel of Your Salvation to all. Please keep me strengthened and led by the Holy Spirit, so I may not be discouraged by anyone's denial, as I remain determined to show the world who you are, in Jesus' mighty Name.

From Acts 7:23-25
