The promised Messiah, the resurrection of the dead, and the ultimate fulfillment of God's covenant promises to His people, remain the hope of every Christian who worships the LORD in the Spirit and Truth. Sometimes, as channels of God's Word, we are bound by unfavorable civil laws and authorities - standing trial because of the hope of God's people in the promise made and fulfilled through Christ, even as we endeavor to spread the Good News to all (Acts 26:6-7).
Yet, whenever you find yourself in chains for the sake of the Gospel, remember that God speaks of, "releasing prisoners from the waterless pit, because of the blood of My covenant," tying freedom directly to His binding promises; you will remain redeemed by your faith in His Word, which lasts forever (Zech. 9:11, Eph. 6:20).
PRAYER: Dear LORD and Blessed Redeemer, thank You for always coming to my aid, keeping me from being bothered about chains because of the hope of Your people, preserved for Your glory. Please continue to fight my battles, so I may stay strengthened to spread the Good News to all who need redemption, in Jesus' Name,
Amen.
From Acts 28:20
