Listening to a faithful minister protects you from spiritual and eternal loss due to attacks of the wicked who would have you deaf to the Word of God (John 17:12). Ministers who faithfully preach the Word and watch over the flocks of Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, help Believers to avoid drifting into error, false teachings, or shipwrecked faith (Acts 20:28, 1 Tim. 1:19, Heb. 13:17, 1 Pet. 5:2-4)
Moreover, while submitting to the counsel of ministering vessels, Believers should exercise discernment, following faithful examples, comparing every teaching with Scripture, to avoid being led astray (1 Tim. 3:7).
PRAYER: Dear LORD and faithful Father of the Righteous in Christ Jesus, thank You for guiding my steps and directing my path through channels of Your Living Word, called to minister according to Your Divine will on Earth. Please, keep me submissive to Your loving direction, even as You grant me the Spirit of discernment, so that I may never go astray but stay in close contactt, in Jesus' Name,
Amen.
From Acts 27:21
